Official Seminar of the National Great Teachers Movement as developed by David B. Gottshall
3rd Annual
National Great Teachers Seminar
Summer 2025
“This seminar offers a rare opportunity to share our teaching experiences with the intent to become better at what we do in the classroom.”
David Sherrill - KNGTS Lead Facilitator
New to teaching? Curious to see how other instructors are innovating instructional content and presentation? Wondering how to keep student learning and engagement fueled in your F2F and/or virtual classroom? Looking for new methodologies that might enrich your own teaching style? Consider attending the Kentucky National Great Teachers Seminar.
The KNGTS is a high energy, summer event that brings teachers together from across North America to learn from each other and exchange teaching innovations and solutions to current instructional problems. In spite of what the name might suggest, the seminar is not so much an assembly of "great teachers" as it is a group of dedicated educators in search of the "great teacher" within themselves. With no experts or keynote speakers, the seminar is based on the principle that teachers are the experts in teaching and learn best from one another.
The function and purpose of the KNGTS is to:
• celebrate and inspire good teaching
• discover realistic, creative approaches to educational problems
• stimulate exchange of information and ideas
• renew the commitment to student learning
